Northridge at Woolverton Inn is a restored 1830s barn with cathedral-height ceilings, surrounded by 300 acres of farmland and just minutes away from New Hope.  The restaurant offers a menu spotlighting sophisticated comfort fare featuring local Delaware River Valley ingredients from award-winning executive chef Lance Knowling

Prix Fixe and BYOB. Northridge is open for weekly dinner service from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, with Sunday Suppers, featuring the chef’s (Lance Knowling) comforting favorites inspired by his midwestern upbringing, taking place each Sunday from 4-7 p.m.

We had a wonderful dinner and experiences at Northridge.  This is our first 5! From the restored barn with cathedral ceilings and wood burning fireplace to the excellent food and service, this was an evening to remember.

You really need to go there to experience the ambiance. So much wood and stone, it is beautiful.  We waited for our other guests in the lobby in a wonderfully comfy leather sofa by a gas fireplace.

Once seated we took in our surroundings and reviewed the menu.  The prix fixe offers 2 or 3 courses.  $60 and $75.  Appetizers ordered were the Baby Kale Salad, the Ahi Tuna Tartare and the Yukon Potato Soup with Lobster. All were excellent. While waiting for the appetizers we were served Amuse Bouche (French for “mouth amuser”).  It is complimentary, bite-sized appetizer served at the start of a meal in fine dining to showcase the chef’s style, stimulate the appetite, and prepare the palate.  Ours consisted of a little chicken salad in a tiny crust, roasted vegetables in a tiny jar and a little piece of smoked salmon.

Mains ordered were Roasted Faroe Island Salmon, Boneless Grilled Short Rib, and Pan Seared Scallops. Portions were perfect and flavors on point.

Service was excellent. We were not rushed.  Everyone was helpful and pleasant. Though there were six of us, when each course was brought out, we were all served at the same time. 3 waitstaff with 2 dishes each.

Desserts were the perfect final touch.  Crème Broulee and Dark Chocolate Bread Pudding were our choices and did not disappoint.

We highly recommend this restaurant for a nice upscale evening out.
