We heard a lot about this restaurant and were looking forward to trying it.

Food: American Price: ***

Tucked away on Union street, this restaurant is cute and eclectic. Our first impression was it was going to be a great experience. But don't think it lived up to our expectations.

Sue and Bill had the spicy Margareta

We started with the beef empanadas. Bill and Sue thought they were delicious. John and I thought they were okay. They were fried and alitte greasy. We love Empanada Mama's so these really didn't have a chance. We also tried the Shaved Brussel Sprouts and Arugula salad. That was very good. Nice lemony dressing.

I had the Maple Glazed Salmon. The waitress said it was one of their favorites. I was not really impressed. I could barely taste the glaze. It came with "potato flats" which just tasted like a slice of potato. The side of brussel sprouts was delicious. John had the stuffed pork chop. Sue had the Halibut. She liked it but it was a little dry. Bill had th Ropa Vieja, described as a pork stew. It was not juicy like a stew at all.

PROS:  Great service, eclectic atmosphere, drinks

CONS: Food was nothing to write home about.
